Alohamondays, located in Hilo, is about friends and what sustains them.

 

The AM crew creates a new menu every week, gathering ideas out and about, from the mountain to the ocean, whether it be in conversations with fishermen on what’s “running”, in discussions with neighbors and farmers on whatʻs in season or flourishing in their gardens, or deciding what’s going to nourish the body in the cold Hilo rain or on a bright summers day.

 

From all of the dishes dreamed up and perfected in the Alohamondays kitchen, also known as “Da Lab”, the catering menu is a cumulation of the crew, friends, and customer favorites.

 

Chef Kanoa and the AM crew take foods deeply rooted in Hilo and experiment with creativity, while maintaining elements of classic. Comfort. Every dish on the menu has that POP of ʻono-ness. The zing. Hawaiians call it moni ka haʻae – Makes the mouth water.

 

Stop into AM’s humble abode and you will see handwritten notes from customers and AM crew members scribbled across their walls, a couple of surfboards ready for some waves, a friend or two hanging in the kitchen for a bit, passing the time with the crew. For AM, it really is about ALOHA. Every day of the week. But especially Aloha Mondays.

 

We offer everything from full-service catering for weddings and large events, to pre-ordered pickup for simple family and work gatherings.
